Additive for paints for easy application of “structural” decorative effects. DecorMix is used as an additive for paints and allows easy application of various decorative effects on walls. DecorMix is available in different grain sizes. By adding a larger or smaller amount of the additive to the paint, intensity of the structure can be modified. All such properties allow unlimited possibilities of surface shaping. DecorMix perfectly covers uneven, partially cracked, and other “difficult” surfaces (e.g. old wallpaper, boards). The product is completely natural and does not contain any hazardous substances. It can be used with any type of paint, both indoors and outdoors. The agent does not affect the colour of paint or its properties.
DecorMix – structural effect
Description
Instructions for use: DecorMix can be used on any type of surface, such as plaster, concrete, bricks, gypsum, wood, etc. Before use, the surface should be clean, dry, and dust-free. Repair spalling and big cracks. Make smooth and glossy surfaces matt using abrasive paper. Absorptive spots should be covered with priming emulsion (Primacol Primagrunt is recommended). Pour into a separate, larger container and keep stirring while slowly adding the required amount of DecorMix. The additive must be stirred thoroughly. The standard structure is obtained by adding one additive bag per 3.5 to 5 litres of paint. If necessary, use larger or smaller amounts of the additive to obtain the structure as desired.
Painting: Follow recommendations issued by the paint manufacturer. For painting, use a short-haired roller. While painting, stir the paint from time to time to keep uniform distribution of the additive in the whole volume. Before the proper painting, it is recommended to make a test in an invisible area to practise even paint distribution. Once the first layer is applied and dried, the second or third layer can be applied, depending on the needs and the desired visual effect.
Powdery product – it may be irritating to eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water. Keep out of the reach of children. For the date of expiry, see the packaging.
