Let’s Shine

Let’s shine is a decorative paint glistering with a thousand of fine silvery particles. The obtained effect is very subtle and intensifies as the lighting becomes better. The product is used for indoor walls and ceilings. It is characterised by very good washability and perfect covering power. The paint is used to coat mineral and gypsum plaster, gypsum boards, bricks, wooden and wood-like surfaces as well as glass textile wallpaper.

Description

Substrate preparation: The substrate to be painted should be stable, clean, dry and uniform. Fresh plaster can be painted after a four-week seasoning. Remove non-adhering (peeling) paint coatings. Old coatings of size colours should be removed and the surface should be cleaned with water. Clean well-adhered emulsion paint coatings with water and detergent. Fill up cavities with suitable putty, rub down and remove dust. It is recommended to reinforce absorptive surfaces with a priming emulsion or paint.

Painting: Due to limitations of printing technology, the presented colour should be considered as approximate only. Any deviation shall not be the reason for any customer complaint. Request a pattern book with accurate colours from your seller. Always make a spot test before painting to become familiar with the paint application method. For larger areas, use products from the same batch.

Properly prepare “Let’s shine” paint before use. Open the container and stir the contents thoroughly. Add the contents of the attached packet (glitter) to the main container. Stir again thoroughly but gently. Do not use high-speed mixers for stirring. Use a manual mixer to distribute the glitter uniformly within the entire paint volume.

Important! Plan your work properly to use up the prepared paint as soon as possible but within 24 hours. Otherwise, it is very likely that the glittery effect will be less visible.

Painting must be performed at a room and substrate temperature > 5 °C. Avoid direct sunlight on the surface being painted. Paint the ceiling from the window-side and keep moving towards the centre of the room in the direction of sunlight. Start painting in places that are difficult to access (e.g. areas around radiators) and corners. Paint large wall areas with a microfibre roller with short hair (6-8 mm). Spread the paint by making vertical (up and down) movements. Finish painting every section of the surface by moving the roller always in the same direction. Join subsequent sections being painted “wet on wet”. Do not stop painting when started. Do not make any corrections when the surface is semi-dried. Apply the paint on the roller generously and distribute it on the substrate carefully and evenly. It is important not to paint with a dry roller. Do not make any local corrections once the paint has dried. It may become necessary to apply another paint layer depending on the substrate and the selected colour. Apply another layer once the first one has dried (3-4 hours).

During and after your painting job, ventilate the room until the odour is gone. The paint coating obtains its full strength properties (washability and scrubbability) after 28 days once the painting job has finished.

Storage: Store in the original, tight container within a temperature range of 5 °C to 25 °C. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
