The magnetic blackboard paint is a perfect combination of two most desired effects: a magnetic paint and chalkboard paint. This combination means a shorter time for decorating your space at home, office and restaurant. The painted surface is like a magnetic school board. You can write and draw on the surface with chalk or attach paper pictures with magnets. Once completely dry, the “board” can be washed with a damp cloth or sponge. The paint provides excellent durability, coating adhesion to the surface and water-resistance.
Magnetic chalkboard paint
Description
Application: The paint can be used indoors and outdoors for temporary information displays, e.g. A-boards. The paint is suitable for surfaces made of cement or lime-cement plaster, gypsum, chip and cement boards, wood-like materials and metals, provided such surfaces are primed in advance.
Surface preparation: Use on smooth surfaces only. The surface to be painted should be stable, hard and dry. Patch up any hole in the surface. Old and loose paint coatings must be removed. Before painting, sand and clean the surface thoroughly. Next, degrease the surface and allow it to dry. Walls made of concrete, cement or lime-cement plaster, brickwork, gypsum and chip and cement boards must be enhanced with the Primacol Primagrunt primer. Wood and metal must be primed in advance using suitable undercoat paint.
Instructions for use: Before use, mix the paint thoroughly. Do not dilute or mix with other paints. Before painting, always make a test to become familiar with the application method. Outline external edges of the surface to be painted with a painting tape. Paint with a roller or brush. Do not paint by spraying. Leave for 2 hours to let it dry and apply another layer afterwards. It is recommended to apply at least 3 layers of the magnetic chalkboard paint. The final effect depends on many factors, in particular the coating thickness, application method and tools. To obtain as smooth coating as possible, you can gently rub the paint surface with fine sanding paper, both inter-layers and the top layer. Too heavy magnets or a too thin paint layer may be insufficient to ensure proper attachment of objects. Neodymium magnets are recommended.
After painting, wait 3-4 days so that the paint can obtain its chalkboard properties. During that period, do not write with chalk on the board or erase it on wet. The paint will obtain its full properties after 28 days from the application. Note! Some chalks available on the market may leave stains on the chalkboard, even if thoroughly washed.
Storage: Store within a temperature range of 5 °C to 30 °C in original, tight containers and in a dry area. Protect from direct sunlight. Protect from frost.
Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed: get immediate medical attention and have container or label at hand. If in eyes: do not rub your eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
