Decorative concrete

A fine-grained mineral plaster for interior use. A perfect imitation of raw concrete. It is a perfect decoration of modern interiors and goes well with metal, wood, and glass. Proper application ensures an irregular pattern, pitting, and de-colouration typical for concrete. Once dried, it allows the walls to breathe.

Description

Substrate: Decorative concrete is intended for use on cement, cement-lime substrates, gypsum boards, which can be already painted. The substrate should be cleaned of dirt and dust, degreased, even, dry, strong, and crack-free. Remove residues of paints, wallpaper, and unstable plaster. Patch any spalling. Fresh cement plaster and cement-lime plaster should be seasoned for at least 4 weeks. Before performing the job, protect surfaces that are not to be covered with the plaster.

Instructions for use: Important! Before performing the proper job, a spot test is recommended to make sure that the final effect is as desired. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any misuse of the product. For the entire surface, use products from the same batch.

Application method:

  1. Prime the prepared surface using Primacol Primer or Primacol Priming Agent.
  2. Before applying the plaster, mix it thoroughly until a uniform consistency is obtained.
  3. Apply a grain-thick layer of the paste using a trowel and allow to dry (6-12 hours).
  4. Next, apply another grain-thick layer. Allow the top surface to dry slightly for about 30-45 minutes.
  5. Spray the surface slightly with water and smooth using a trowel edge. Perform your job in approx. 0.5 m2 stages – spray and then smooth. Characteristic spalling and pitting can be obtained by pressing a piece of crushed paper or newspaper on the surface as soon as smoothed. Allow the top surface to dry slightly (up to 1 hour). Important! Do not allow the layer to set dry completely.
  6. Wipe the surface using a trowel (flatwise) with circular movements in various directions until the desired colour effect is obtained. Next, gently spray with water and “smear” the pigment using a trowel. Smoothing the surface with a trowel results in surface shading. The smoother the surface, the darker the effect obtained.
  7. Allow it to dry completely.
  8. Once dried, the surface can be covered with Primacol Decorative varnish or Primacol Decorative wax to ensure better layer protection.
  9. Once the product is applied, vent the rooms until the odour has gone. Clean the tools of plaster and wash in warm water.

Storage: Store within temperature range of 5°C to 30°C in the original, tight containers in a dry area. Protect against direct sunlight. Protect from frost.

Shelf life: 24 months from the date of manufacture.

See the packaging for the expiry date.
