This is a decorative paste with a distinct texture for interiors. It is extremely plastic and is easy to apply and shape structures. Due to its special formulation, there is no cracking if thick coats (10 mm and more) are applied. Once dried, it allows walls to breathe. It provides beautiful decorative effects, both in modern and retro style imitating old antique plastering. Effecto paste can be dyed in mass (by adding colourants directly to the paste) as well as by covering it with Varnish, Artist’s Varnish or Primacol Decorative Stain. If such products are used, its durability and abrasion resistance are improved.
Effecto structural paste
Description
Substrate: Effecto paste is intended for use on cement, cement-lime substrates, gypsum boards, and painted surfaces. The substrate should be cleaned out of dirt and dust, degreased, even, dry, strong, and crack-free. Remove residues of paints, wallpaper, and unstable plaster. Patch any spalling. Fresh cement plasters and cement-lime plasters should be seasoned for at least four weeks. Before performing the job, protect surfaces that are not to be covered with the paste. For highly absorptive surfaces, the application of Primacol Primer, and for low-adherence surface, the application of Primacol Priming Agent is recommended.
Instructions for use: Important! Before the proper job, a spot test is recommended to make sure that the final effect is as desired and become familiar with the application method. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any misuse of the product. For the entire surface, use products from the same batch.
- Prime the prepared surface using Primacol protective primer or Primacol Priming Agent.
- Before applying plaster, mix it thoroughly until uniform consistency is obtained.
- Apply the paste using a trowel to obtain the desired thickness and shape the structure at the same time. Keep modelling structures before the plaster dries. The final surface texture and coverage depend on the type of the tool used, thickness of the layer applied, and the application method.
- Once dried, paint the surface with Decorative Stain, Artist’s Varnish or Primacol Varnish dyed in the colour of your choice (if the paste is not dyed in mass).
- Once the product is applied, vent the rooms until the odour has gone. Clean the tools of plaster and wash in warm water.
Storage: Store within temperature range of 5°C to 30°C in the original, tight containers in dry areas. Protect from direct sunlight. Protect from frost.
