Synthetic stucco

Primacol Decorative synthetic stucco is a product of the highest quality, intended for decorating walls and ceilings. Treating surfaces with synthetic stucco results in a “marble imitation” effect, also known as Venetian plaster. The surfaces gain high sheen and depth, they also become smooth and “cold” in touch. The product is intended for indoors use on the following surfaces: plaster, concrete, plaster-cardboard panels. The product can also be applied on other stable surfaces. Absorptive surfaces may need prior treatment with priming paint. In order to achieve depth and a long-lasting effect, it is advised to use decorative wax as the final coating.

Description

Usage: The product is intended for professional use. Those who are using the product for the first time are advised to make a test before decorating the target surface. In order to achieve satisfying results, the stucco should be applied to very smooth surfaces. Otherwise the surface defects may be visible on the finished decoration. The use of professional tools is advised for applying the stucco. Especially when applying layers 2 and 3, it is crucial that the long float’s edges are perfect: straight and sharp. If necessary, the float’s edges can be sharpened by using sandpaper with a grit of 2000. If necessary, the product can be slightly diluted with water to achieve a convenient consistence. The packaged stucco is white – it should be dyed with Primacol pigments and stirred before use. Application: it is advised to perform decoration in three consecutive steps:

  1. Apply a thin layer of stucco and smoothen it with a stainless steel long float. The desired effect can be achieved through corresponding long float movements. After applying the first layer, wait until the surface is dry (about 10 hours in room temperature).
  2. Apply small quantities of stucco on small areas of the wall. Softly press the sharp edge of the long float and drag it along the applied stucco. To avoid edge marks, start from the dry surface and end on the wet one while smoothing. Evenly decorate the whole surface this way. After finishing, wait about 8 hours until the surface is completely dry.
  3. Apply the stucco as in step 2, but drag the sharp edge of the long float much harder, several times. This way the stucco should gain sheen. Make sure the edge of the long float is in perfect shape, otherwise achieving desired results may prove difficult. After applying the stucco, wait about 4 hours and start coating the surface with wax. In order to coat the surface with wax, put a small amount of wax on a putty knife and apply it evenly on about 0.5 m2 of the wall. When the coating starts to dry, polish it with a soft piece of cotton cloth. After finishing one part of the wall, start covering the next one. Always make a test before applying stucco on the main surface. The manufacturer is not responsible for any improper use of the product and does not guarantee an effect identical to that in the pattern book. The final effect depends on many factors, including the skills of the person using the product. The arrangement on the front label is only a demonstration.
